Back to school

These cute girls are headed back to school! Alexa started second grade at Rose Creek Elementary with Mrs. Spencer and Brylee was off to another year of preschool with Miss Hilary! (Although wishing for Kindergarten!) Love these cute girls! It's so hard to see them grow up so fast! A few things about Alexa...She lost her first tooth this year. She likes boys now!! She is great at spelling and is liking chapter books. She is doing math and telling time. She doesn't like riding the bus still! She is a good friend! Brylee is reading and doing her writing. She is such a helper and unloads the dryer and helps with the dishwasher. She is always willing to help Kenna and play with her. She loves to play with friends. She has an amazing fashion sense and accerizes all her outfits with scarfs, jewelry and lipgloss! Kenna is saying so many words and copies anything! She loves babies and barbies and Elmo. She also loves when her big sisters pretend to play kitchen with her. She is a tease already! She loves to copy whatever Brylee does! She loves shoes!

PS...Any photo I have is from my stinkin phone, because Kenna broke mine! So they aren't great, but they work until Santa brings me a new camera!

Vegas Baby!! August 22,2011

My cute husband took me to Vegas for my birthday! We have so much fun going shopping, to the pool and to shows! We never did shows in Vegas until last year and now we are going to try every year! Lucky me it gets to happen for my birthday! I really do feel spoiled! I love the shows there, they are amazing! We went to Peep Show and Mystere this year. Mystere is so awesome with the best acrobatic performances!

The new H&M in the Forum shops is HUGE!
This is my favortie Mexican restaurant that has also become a tradition for my birthday! It is the Pink Taco at the Hard Rock Hotel!
Can we have one in Utah please! The food is to die for!

We ate outside at a restaurant at Treasure Island before Mystere!

We also love a restaurant called Mon a mi Gabi at the Paris! We ate brunch there 2 days in a row because it is so freaking good! You can eat right outside on the strip and people watch, which is so fun in Vegas!

He really doesn't like his picture taken!

Journal entry for my kids when they read this blog! I hope with everything in me that they will always make good choices and see the difference between what is right and what is wrong. I hope that they know the difference between the popular choice and the right choice! I hope with all my heart that they make good choices in friends that will help them to make those right decisions. I pray every day that they will have confidence in themselves. I hope that they realize that friends aren't everything in life and that family is forever! I hope that all of my girls will accept each other and love each other like best friends ( and their mom!). Friend time is important, but family time is more important! It is so true what they say about knowing that there are people that are wolves in sheeps clothing! I am so tired of people that aren't real. I know that they will come across so many mean girls in their life and I hope that they are able to recongnize that and remove them from their lives! Life is hard enough, especially for girls growing up! I always tell my kids to be nice no matter what and to accept everyone without judgement and then I follow up on it! Life is not a competition and it's not about how many friends you have. Thank goodness for my husband that is my best friend and that I love to spend time with! I love all the girlfriends that I have and am sure that I will make many new friends as we age, but I love my family and husband the most! I love a good girls night out, but love to get home to my family. They are who get me through every day and love me unconditionally. As I have grown older, I have made friends with so many new people that I love. The people that are my friends are so different than when I was younger. You have to have friendships that are easy and not stessfull. I wish my children long happy lives with lots of love from family and easy friendships with GENUINE people that love them like family! ( by the way nothing bad happened to me today, I just see how hard it is for kids and didn't necessarily have confidence in myself when I was younger and want you to see the things I wish I would have seen or known growing up!) I don't know what the change was, but as and adult I have so much more confidence in myself, who I am and what I'm about. I feel like confidence comes from knowing that you are a good person that people can like and relate to. While I'm giving advice, work hard, play hard ,save your money and most of all love who you are! Love you! Mom

Cosmo Finlayson 12/09/03 - 10/21/11

Our cute dog Cosmo was put to rest today after her battle with cancer. Most people know that I am not a dog lover, and though I wasn't always happy with things Cosmo did, I did love her! She was a good dog with an awesome personality! She was cute and acted like a playful puppy still. She let my kids pull her tail and sit or stand on her, without ever hurting them! My kids loved her so much! We will miss you Cosmo! Below alexa wrote the things she remembers and loves about Cosmo:

Amanda and Tyson Finally get married!!

My sister Amanda has dated her boyfriend Tyson for something like 9 or 10 years! They made it through college and finally got married! The festivities started with a rehearsal family BBQ.

Then came the bachelorette party that I went to with her and her friends.

Lorie, Amanda, me and Karrie all work together

The wedding luncheon was next! This is Austin and Dallas, my niece and nephew. Honestly whoever is missing is not my fault, the girls were entertaining themselves and were the photographers with my phone!

My sister Danielle and her husband Josh! ( this is a pretty good photo for whichever of my girls took this!)

The Rodeo!!

Of course in the summer you have to hit a couple rodeo's, especially when your kids love horses!
